We’re building open source hardware to improve the security and scalability of blockchain protocols.
The VDF Alliance is a collaborative effort to design and implement efficient Verifiable Delay Functions (VDFs) in software and in hardware. A verifiable delay function is a function that takes a certain amount of time to compute, and cannot be accelerated through parallelization or additional processors. Once computed, the output can be quickly verified by anyone.
